Transfer Issues Between iPhone 7 and iPhone 11 Pro

Having big time issues transferring my files and data from my 256GB iPhone 7 to my 512GB iPhone 11 Pro. When I get the phone yesterday, I did the wireless transfer between both phones. Once started, the transfer and everything worked fine until there was about 45 minutes left to go and my iPhone 7 stopped the transfer because it overheated. So of course I let the phone cool down and decided to try again.

However, since then, I can't get past the Setting up your Apple ID screen. I tried hard resetting it, restoring it, and setting the phone up as a new phone and then restoring the phone and I still can't get past that screen when I try to do the wireless transfer. I can't back up my iPhone 7 on my Mac since I don't have enough room so I was hoping to do the wireless transfer.

It seems after the initial wireless transfer, my iPhone 11 Pro got messed up. Does anyone have any tips or advice? Thanks!

Is the new iPhone listed in your iCloud account?
I would try to set it up as new, login to iCloud, logout again, reset and then try the restore.

Update: Looks like that worked. I also reset my restarted my iPhone 7 so now I'm back in the transfer mode finally, though it says it'll take about two hours and I'm worried about my iPhone 7 overheating again. We'll see what happens, but thank you for the help

I'm restoring my iPhone 6s backup data to my new iPhone 11 Pro but the progress bar has stopped at about 1/4 into the way and the remaining time is currently 7 hours and keeps increasing. I want to try setting mu iCloud account but I've hardly familiarized myself with 11 Pro and I need help. How do you reset 11 Pro while in restoration process? Which buttons do I push? My iPhone 11 Pro is connected through a regular USB3.0 Lightning cable to my MacPro5,1 via a USB hub. Wouldn't it upset the data already installed in 11 Pro?
