Somehow accidentally deleted a family members Messages history - 8yrs of Messages - from my main iPhone, which unfortunately was connected to iCloud so across all Macs, etc the same history was instantly deleted. Can't believe that Apple doesn't have a "are you sure" extra step before deleting OR a simple restore method but apparently they don't.

Anyways, I do have an older iPhone 8 Plus that I use for work that is my one device that retained complete Messages history of the family member. But it's not my main phone for personal/family use. So I wan't to find a way to move that entire 8yr Message history for that family member over to my iPhone 12 Pro Max. Must be a way. But how? I do have Imazing and Phoneview and willing to get any other software that will accomplish this. I also saw an article that if I had archive messages set on iMac (I did) that it might be possible to restore but not sure how without iCloud constantly over-riding to delete again?

Any thoughts?
