iPod transfer music from ipod to a new computer

i have a windows ipod...and would like to copy the music to the new mac...i don't need to move the playlist.

is there any free software that will do this?

Not sure about software to automatically do this. You basically just need to copy the iTunes folder from Windows to your new Mac. As the link above there are many ways to transfer the data. Here's a link on how to use your iPod (if it has enough space) as an external drive to transfer the iTunes folder.
