Hey, so I have a macbook pro on OS X 10.8.5 and the newer versions of iTunes aren't supported on this version so I can't sync my iPhone on iOS 11 when I connect it to the computer. Is there a workaround or some software to at least be able to transfer my music to the phone?

Thanks in advance!

Most programs require 10.9 or above sadly.

My knowledge is limited in this subject though.
Maybe a more seasoned member has some ideas.

is the music bought or ripped from media?

I'm not certain if "iMazing 2" will work with your version of macOS but it can sync music both ways. They do have a trial version you can download and it has recently been on sale from the Macworld Magazine store.

Either use different app to sync, or upgrade i think.

No later version of iTunes will install on 10.8.5.. and
No late iOS version will sync on old version of iTunes.

Even though this actually says it needs a "later version of OS X to communicate with iOS 10" it actually works fine for copying my iTunes playlists to the iPhone SE on iOS 11. Thanks a lot for your help!
