Hi all,

Just grabbed a 2.7 GHz i7. I have a clone of my current MacBook hd. What's the best way to "restore" my files from the old cloned drive to my new mini's hd? Ie, can I copy my whole ~/Music folder over and then open iTunes and it will magically work?

You hit the nail on the head, there. If you copy the files from your cloned music, documents, movies, downloads, desktop, etc. folders to the new folders on the Mini HDD, it'll run just fine. The only files I'd be unsure of are the application and library folders, but you can always reinstall applications from scratch, right? Also, I'm not sure how emails are stored, but you may have those backed-up already.

For safety, I'd only deal with the files found under your cloned User folder, then configure smaller system settings as they come up.
