i haven't seen a discussion about this - or i missed it - but in itunes the above showes up under file - so perhaps itunes purchases will be a new app for the iphone

This feature was actually present on iPods too, so I don't think it necessarily means anything.

In the iPod it is there to save your butt in case your library is lost... at least this is how i use it... I keep everything i purchased on my video iPod just to keep it all safe...
