My friend does not own an iPhone, only an iPod Touch. He was wondering if there was any Apps out there that allow you to create your own ring tone, and then transfer it to a regular phone. I am aware there are apps for the iPhone that let you make ring tones, but what about the iPod Touch?

Also app dev's, if one does not exist, I hope this inspires you!

Sure, try any one of our apps, some of which are free. You can create ringtones on an iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad (two versions awaiting approval!) Then, download the sound file in either .m4r (iPhone) format OR .aiff, which many other phones can use directly as ringtones, or you can convert to MP3 using Audacity (free for Mac/PC).

You create a custom TEXT-TO-SPEECH ringtone, using dozens of voices, and optionally choose from ~200 sound FX to use as an introduction, to get your attention. See the demo at http://www.AutoRingtone.com. Ringtones Uncensored USA is free today!

I think it will do what your looking to do. We developed this free service as a value added feature for our free QuickVoice Recorder app and our paid iPhone app QuickVoice2Text Email. Not only does it work with our iPhone recorder apps but it also works with the iPhone (and iPod's?) built-in Voice Memos app.

Mike
