How do I copy everything from my 3G to 3GS including app data and settings? Everything has reset?

How do I copy everything from my 3G to 3GS including app data and settings? Everything has reset?

Restore from backup.

First go into itunes preferences and under iphone tab look to see that there is a previous backup.

Then attach your new phone and select the restore from backup button on the iphone page on itunes.

If you already restored from backup then you need to sync your phone to get the apps and other media on your phone.

The restore brings all the data and settings.
