I just bought the 5g this morning and haven't been able to get it to connect to my computer at work.. it has that damned XP issue of itunes not running. is there a way to manually upload songs to the ipod so that they show up in the music menu?

You might try installing amarok via Fink, or maybe try building your own copy of gtkpod. There isn't much demand on the Mac side, since iTunes has always been there to deal with iPod. Is there any particular reason why you can't move on to iTunes 6?super_kev said:What about Mac users?

Edit: I just found out that you need iTunes 6 to buy songs from the iTMS. A few days ago I was able to buy some songs w/iTunes 4, but I guess that's the end of that. Someone needs to update JHymn to work with v6.![]()
