Transfer speed migrating from Time Capsule over wifi

I swapped a 16Gb RAM logic board into a late 2015 21.5" iMac as 8Gb is way too little. Started the migration assistant last night and it's been saying it transferred 2577 files for thelast hour, at a rate of 7.1Mb/s

Do I just wait or start over connecting directly with a CAT8 ethernet cable?

gave up and did tehCAT 8 connect, speed vastly improved. Lesson learned.
