Does anyone know what the policy is if someone who has an iPad reservation wants to give that reservation to someone else? Will the Apple Stores allow that? Would the person with the original reservation need to go in at the time of the purchase? Or could they possibly forward the confirmation email to the other person, and have them bring that in?

Thanks in advance...

I had one reserved in one city, and it came in while I was traveling and would not be able to make it by the end of the next day. I called to see if they could extend the reservation by a day (which they ended up doing), but they first asked me if there was someone else that could pick it up for me.

That leads me to believe the original person who reserved it could call and give them your name and say you are going to pick it up.

Just called the store and they claimed it had to be me and I need to show ID when picking it up....

Apple employees are just heads in the air. bunch of school kids with electronics in their hands. Agreed it is the technology that is superior but in the hands of kids.

The reason for my annoyance is that when I went to the store and asked where is my ipad for which it has been past 4 weeks, they spoke very rudely, like no one has access to the 'THE LIST' and I'll just have to wait. Its just an electronic toy and there's nothing to get heads over heals for it.
