I switched from a PC to iMac yesterday and I'm wondering what the BEST way is to transfer my files. I'd prefer not to have to pack up both my computers and take it to the apple store to have them do it...
I have one external HD that isn't too large (about 70 GB) so I could copy, paste, delete, and repeat for about 250 GB worth of data.
Or another option is to burn data cd's then copy them all to the iMac.
I was wondering is there any way to DIRECTLY connect the PC to the iMac via ethernet or firewire and transfer data directly like that? Only problem is I can't get into the network properties in vista b/c it freezes every time (go figure).
Any other grand ideas I'm not thinking of?? How hard would it be to "transform" my internal HD on my PC to an external that I could hook up to my iMac?
