Transferring files to 1 gig XD card

Hello,

I gave my wife a Kodak 10" digital frame for Christmas. When I go to move pictures to the card via a usb card reader, IFinder states that after only 167 files (at 300 megs) is full. Does anyone have any experience with this? I have tried everything I can think of to correct it.
