Until now, I have been using my ipod classic 160gb with my windows laptop. Recently, my windows laptop clunked out on me, so I bought a Mac Book Pro 2014. Is there anyway I can transfer all my songs and podcasts from my ipod to the itunes on the mac?

I really would like to save my songs.

Post-transfer tip: Once you've successfully recovered your songs, get an external hard drive or a couple of USB flash drives and back up your music. A 500 Gb external drive is surprisingly cheap and will hold everything your iPod can, with plenty of room to spare.
