My wife, daughter, and I were all part of a family sharing plan. My wife purchased a ton (>300) movies for my daughter under my wife's AppleID. We've since set up my daughter's own AppleID as she has gotten older.

Is it possible to transfer these to her AppleID? Will Apple honor a court order to do so if so ordered (we are in the process of a divorce).

Thanks!

iTunes purchases can't be transferred between accounts. You wife just needs to share her purchased content with your daughter's AppleID using Family Sharing.

Then I would suggest that you are off the hook. You’ve explained how to reach the desired endpoint but she is unwilling to act.

There is an alternative which your wife probably won’t like (however a judge who sees your wife as unreasonable might). Your could suggest that your daughter make a list of the movies she really cares about. Then your wife can purchase those movies for your daughter’s AppleID.

Given this option, she might just prefer Family Sharing.

Only a partial solution: you could link the wife's iTunes account to Movies Anywhere. The daughter can than open an account at Amazon, Google, FandangoNow or Vudu and link that to the same MA account. MA-eligible movies will then be transferred to the daughter's service. After they have transferred, you can even disconnect the accounts again and the movies will still be there.

Unfortunately some studios (most notably Paramount and Lionsgate) do not support MA, so probably not all movies will transfer.
