iPod Transferring my iPod Library

My old laptop crashed so I just got a new Vaio. I downloaded iTunes and want to transfer my iPod library to iTunes. But it's saying it will sync and erase everything on my iPod. Is there a way to transfer my tunes FROM my iPod to iTunes on my laptop?

this is a very common question and i'm sure there's hundreds of threads in here about it..

Some say that putting the ipod in hard drive mode and using explorer to copy over the content can work.

google ipod to itunes. Personally, I use senuti and ipodrip.

You need to authorise your new computer so it can sync and play music bought with your iTunes account. It'll also stop that prompt appearing. Go to Store -> Authorise this computer.
