Hi,

I recently changed to a mobileme account from a hotmail account. My problem is that because i have purchased everything in my hotmail itunes account, now i am using my mobileme address to buy stuff, the iphone wants me to re-purchase already purchased apps when i want to update an app.

Is there any way to transfer purchases from one account to another?

You will have to contact iTunes and explain your situation just as you did here. They will review your two accounts and could give you a one time redownload of all your purchases from the old account. Be courteous and explain in detail, also provide a time period of what you want to recover ....From...To.

This has worked for me before on a hard drive crash...once I explained and asked for a specific time period to recover, they allowed a fresh download.

Hope that helps...good luck.

And if Apple don't play ball, simply sign in with the old account to update your apps. I run two accounts on the same computer for one iPhone without any problems. You just need to be more aware of your account management and updates but it isn't a problem.

Can't you sign into your original account (in iTunes) and just update your email address to your mobileme address? I've changed email addresses before and haven't had any issues.
