Transferring purchases to itunes library

I recently purchased the new macbook. I had been using itunes on a pc before to sync my 3gs. My itunes on my new macbook wont let me transfer my purchases. i authorized the computer and it still wont let me do it. I can think of anything else to do, can someone help me please?

1. Deauthorize your PC.

2. Copy the iTunes folder from your PC to your Mac (replacing your Mac's iTunes folder.

3. Re-import Library using File>Add to Library...

4. Authorize your MacBook.
