When I connect my iPhone to my Macbook, it automatically transfers all music from my MacBook libraries to my iPhone. Not sure if it does the same in reverse to back up any new music I bought from my iPhone to my Mac but it should.

Is it possible to set it so that it only uses the music folder on my MacBook? At the moment it is using all of the library folders and it is so annoying. I only want the music in the music folder to be synced.

they have toggles on both MacBook and iPhones "Music" and "iTunes" programs that indicate what should go where.

When you connect your iPhone, open a Finder window and select your iPhone in the Sidebar. In the iPhone window, click on the Music tab. You can then choose to manually select which tracks/songs/playlists/albums that you want synced to your iPhone.
