See attached video... am I being daft, or should the translate app not show the translated text after hitting enter?

Mine is working fine. Try rebooting your phone and/or deleting and then reinstall the app.
Thanks, that worked for me. I was seeing this when turned to landscape and had the same problem as the OP when writing or pasting text.
I'm still not seeing the translate option in Safari on my iPhone 8, but it works OK on my wife's iPhone 11, and Safari on my MacBook Pro since installing macOS Big Sur 🤔
Do you see this when you turn your phone to landscape?
If so try the solution that was suggested, ie: delete the app, reboot and then install a new copy. It worked for me!
I did it the same dance long time ago and it was working after downloading it again
Now I have the same error, again!
Deleted and downloaded and it works without rebooting
On my old iPhone 8 works all the time
on the new 12 pro is not 😡
I really hope it will flawlessly work with iOS 14.5 🙂
The issue is because I downloaded some dictionaries
Update: it's only the first language dictionary breaking the app functionality
It's possible to download the others, but if you change language and that one has the dictionary dowloaded it will not work.
Now I have the same error, again!
