Simple question. Does anyone see any option to make the menu bar look more like previous versions of macOS — that is, not transparent? I spend most of my time working with windows set to fill the entire screen space (...but not in actual "full screen" mode...) and I don't really want to see my wallpaper poking out at the top.

I do already have Ice installed, I just use it to manage the menu bar icons on the right and not the appearance of the menu bar itself. But, maybe it will be able to "correct" this.

just set tint to gradient and play and make it all white/grey and you've got a transparent menu bar

or if you want it solid then just set it to solid

My number one concern about Tahoe actually. I suppose it will either be fixed by: "Reduce Transparency", Apple rolling back this due to usability issues, a third party person making a simple app to take a background image and adding a menu bar at the top, or a terminal command.

This and the finder icon are the only changes that really bother me.

Just perusing the issues list and comments on Github, and it looks like Ice is pretty broken on Tahoe right now. They're already working on it, though, so I imagine that things will be worked out by the time that Tahoe actually launches.
