Hi folks,

I might need to occasionally take my nMP into work and was wondering if anyone was aware of what bags etc are available for it or which suit it well?

I did notice a US company make a "Mac Pro Go Case" but it's priced at almost 100 British Pounds and needs imported, which is an absolutely outrageous price to ask of a bag.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Considering the price of the MP, the bag isn't exactly expensive.

I'd find some kind of sturdy duffle bag, wrap up the machine and carry it like that.

I'm not a fan of that logic. One is a high end workstation computer, the other is a bag.

I could spend 200k on a maserati, it doesn't mean I'd spend a thousand on the chamois to wipe it with.

I'll try googling for cylindrical bags, there's bound to be something. I'll share it here if I find anything

If it were me, I would probably wrap her in a sweater or a towel and put her in a backpack.

You don't have to be a fan, but you want to transport a machine that has a hefty price tag. Wiping down a car is different. I don't put my camera gear in a paper bag, I bought a suitable bag that will protect it. Think about it.
Buy what you want, I said the duffle bag will likely work and it looks like the guy above me linked you to a camera bag. That will work well too.

I just think that kind of logic is often used to push Apple specific gear which isn't of any significantly better quality. The "Go case" is no better made from any other reasonably priced duffle I've seen and doesn't seem thick or padded enough to confer any particularly great level of protection.

If something is designed to work with apple kit and has better quality / protection / features / performance then of course it's worth the premium.

I don't disagree. I was simply stating that in my opinion, when you look at the price tag of the machine that has to be transported, the bag didn't seem like a huge investment. I don't know what that camera bag cost you, but camera bags can run quite high as well.
