Trash/Deleted Mailbox Removal Schedule

I have the setting shown below for deleted messages to be removed, 2 iCloud accounts. I have always had it set to remove after one week but since 18.0 it appears that setting is ignored as I have messages going back to the first week of September in the Trash mailbox. Have others experienced this?

Me too.

I think this, and the Fetch settings, are bugged as both appear to be ignored since 18.0
