Trash on Mac Pro with Mavericks not working

I have a Mac Pro with RAID 5 that recently had a fresh install of 10.9.2. Recently the Trash stopped working. When I delete something, a dialog box saying, "This is un-doable and will be deleted immediately" pops up. Only seems to be affecting the RAID.

Any ideas?

Sounds like a permission problem or something.

OS X will try to move files to a .Trash folder (note the leading dot, so it doesn't show up in the Finder) when you drag them to the trash. Emptying the trash basically runs the equivalent of `rm -r` on the contents of the .Trash folder, unlinking all the contents and freeing up the disk space.

It sounds like OS X can't create the .Trash folder on your RAID volume, or that folder is inaccessible for some reason- and it's falling back to just running `rm` on the files directly, without moving them to the Trash folder first.

Same issue with my wife's. Permissions in the home directory were a mess. No idea what happened, it was a brand new Air and a few days past using a migration to populate user files only over the network.

Look at some permissions in the home directory, files that recently changed. If they're wrong, home directory, set its permissions correctly (hers were fine), apply to enclosed. No problems since.

On Maverick by chance? When I looked into this it seems its another magical and wondrous part of 10.9 that many have experienced.

Do you happen to know the terminal commands to fix this issue? And yes, this machine is running Mavericks 10.9.2.
