Hello

I downloaded from an older
Time Machine external HD to a
desktop Folder on a new Mac.

Folder was automatically named:
“Macintosh HD-Data”

I want to trash it, but it won’t let me.
How can I get rid of this Folder entirely to free up the few hundred GB in it ?

There must be a way, isn’t there ?

Thanks,
Bob

This sounds similar to the problem I had, although my situation was that I had to help salvage data off a failing drive and I ended up with the Tina machine folder on the computer I used for the rescue. When I finished, I could delete the folder but couldn’t empty the trash…

Until I plugged in the original external drive again. Then I could empty the trash and the file disappeared.
