I've long been thinking about a good way for storage the apple watch, the charger, and my bands.
I've been fixing something together yesterday, using the plastic box from the sportswatch.
Ripped off the middle piece that is a negative mold of the watch, put a soft foam layer on the bottom and some magnets at places.
The Apple Watch itself is elevated a bit, resting on a circular base, similar to the charger base, that has magnets holding it in place. When closed, the watch presses slightly against the top of the case, which has a soft lining, and therefor prevents the watch from sliding in the case.
left to the watch, there's space for some sports bands.
right to the watch, I've got the usb charger cable and the milanese band, which is also held in place by magnets.
The whole case is held together by strong tape at the back side, making sort of a hinge. I plan on attaching mechanical hinges that are more sturdy. The case is held together by two strong vinyl bands that slide on from the side. this i want to replace too, with some sort of latch, but it works well and keeps it secure.
All in all, I wish the case was just 2mm bigger, then I could place the apple watch directly on the USB, and still be able to close the case.
What are your ways of carrying the apple watch and its bands around? Big watches boxes (like the one from the SS AW) are a bit too big for my taste.
