Hi all,

Even now that Apple adjusted their prices in Turkey after the Turkish Lira crashed, the Pro Display XDR is still a lot cheaper in Turkey than in my home country. At the current exchange rate, in Turkey it sells for EUR 3,672.50 while in my country it’s EUR 5,599.-

When adding flight costs, import tax and a carry bag, I believe I’d still be off quite a bit cheaper.

External Dimensions of the bag are: W80cm x D27cm x H60cm

Does anyone have experience flying with it, or something of similar size, like an iMac?
Preferably, I’d like to travel with it in carry-on luggage. Given the dimensions of the carry bag, I might be pushing my luck, but it may be worth a try.

Thanks for your input.

I would check for other restrictions on products purchased out of your region before assuming this "trick" will work. If it were that easy to get a device on the cheap by purchasing it from another country where the exchange rate is better, people would be doing it all the time.

I picture you getting it home to find a defect of some sort and having Apple tell you the device needs to be serviced in Turkey, the region which it was purchased in.

If you can do it carryon, I don’t see why not. There shouldn’t be any issue buying something in another country and then taking it into yours. You may have to pay customs. Warranty may be an issue.
