Treo 650 not Hotsyncing correctly

Hello,
New switcher here. I have an imac isight G5.

I installed the software CD that came with the Treo 650.

When I hotsync it, it starts to snyc, then this prompt comes up:

The Hotsync operation was interrupted.

Some of your data was NOT backed up.

I will click on Show Report and one of the prompts say Unkown Syn Error [16385]

On the report it will say Memo Pad Did nothing.
But when I open the Palm Desktop, my address book will be updated and my Memos are in there too.

Also on my Treo as all this is going on, it is stuck on
Synchronizing Voice Dial, and I have to take out the battery to reset the Treo.

Clarify

This is not a bump, but perhaps I need to clarify my post.
Basically, my problem is, after it states there is a hotsync error, my Treo locks up.
It always get stuck on Syncronizing Voice Dial.
When I hit cancel, it says Waiting to cancel, and that it could take several minutes to do so, but it never cancels.

I appreciate any help.

I know this won't be very helpful, and not trying to make it sound like "it should just work". What I've found with palms over the years, is that when they work, they just work, when they fail, you seem to need a hard reset and start over. (sounds like some 'other' operating system that we would rather not use, now that I think about it).

But... for the (not so) fun part, my treo 650, i put the cd's in, and it worked, used some page, might have been apple or some other, don't remember, to switch over to using ical and address book.

One likely cause is that one db is corrupt in some small fashion, and I don't do voice dial on mine, so haven't changed anything with that part.

Thank you for the reply. I finally figured out how to use isync with the Treo 650 and ical and Address book work fine.

I'll fool around with Palm's Hotsync some other time!!

Similar problem with Palm TX

I am having a similar problem with a Palm TX - I hotsync and nothing happens to the Calendar - I get the same "interrupted" message - the memos, to do list, and contacts all seem to sync - maybe not perfectly - but OK. But nothing happens to the calendar. Anybody run into this. This is my father's new Mac and new Palm, I am trying to salvage his switch to Mac.
