Jailbreaking allows us to make apps think they're on WiFi when you're really on 3G (Voipover3g), but is there anything I can do to make a specific app think it's always on edge, or that it doesn't have internet at all?

I would love to be able to fool some apps into thinking they don't have the internet, because they load ads, send your high scores to the server, etc, but I'm not sure I see any advantage to making them think they are on EDGE. In any case, I'd love to know if anyone has an answer!

But what if you want to listen to Pandora (using backgrounder) at the same time you want to play a game without having it upload your scores to the server?

Ha, good question, I do not know the answer!!! And I realised even if you want to still take or make phonecalls, my answer above is not that great

How about the phone app thinking your on edge so you save the battery life?

I've never had issues on edge with cell service and 3g calls take twice the power.

I don't want specific apps (which don't need internet) to have access to the internet, even when I'm on Wi-Fi. Flight mode, etc. aren't good enough workarounds. Does anyone know if this can be done?
