Tricking a EDID signature

I have a 24" led cinema display, and I would like to use it with the CinemaViewTV, as shown in the link below.

But, the deal is, it only outputs to a 1080p resolution. And, it checks with a EDID signature to make sure that that is the display resolution. Is there anyway to change that, or trick the device?

does this cinemaview tv thing just basically give your 24" display TV style inputs?

the CV 47 is pretty cool. just a repackaged tv to look like an apple display

there is a gefen product that does that, but its only got HDMI connections, dont know if youll be able to get the right set of adaptors to connect it to the cinema display though.
