hey i don't know if this fits underneath a previous thread or not but i have read around and cant see anything that applies

here is the story:

I have been looking for a new phone for a while. I decided to pay 200 dollars for a used jailbroken Ipod 3g 16 gig. I wanted the phone for this weekend so when i saw the seller left all his information like his contacts, emails, and music, i thought i could just delete them my self. (now the smart thing for me to do would be to download the cydia contacts deleter app) but being the somewhat noob i am proceeded to press "erase all content and settings." Of course the deleted everything, including all the system files. I have tried to restore multiple times through itunes. The recovery completes, but then leaves us with the 1015 error recovery message. I have tried every program that should take us out of the recovery loop including: blackra1n, ireb, and tinyumbrella. We have even used command line prompts through the shell using iRecovery. But still no luck.
Any other suggestions, or am i stuck with a 200 dollar brick?
