Ok I have used Ziphone several times before but I tried to unlock my friends Iphone but could not unlock it. It started out as a bricked phone then I restored it back to 1.1.4 using Itunes but at the very end, it kept giving me this "1015 error message". What am I doing wrong?

Then I tried using Ziphone using "Do it all" but for some reason it will not unlock the damn thing! What am I doing wrong?

Please hhhhhhhhhelp!

Your not doing much wrong, how many times did you get it to 1.1.4?

Try this:

Download latest version of 7.7 Itunes, download and install latest version. Make sure phone boots and all.

**warning: This will delete all data.

After that uninstall 7.7 and dont forget to delete the library in C:\Documents and Settings\OWNER NAME <-- whatever the account is. Find MUSIC\Itunes and delete the ITunes LIB file. and reinstall Itunes 7.5

Download Software version 1.14 firmware. Now go on the 7.5 and attempt DFU mode and restore to 1.14. When in DFU mode you should not see any ITUNES LOGO with the USB wire thing. IT SHOULD BE A BLANK SCREEN, it looks as if its off.

When you roll back the firmware you will get an error 10xx where xx is either 16 or 15 which is good. After the click ok boot the phone back into regular mode and attempt the same method again, this time without DFU and reload the software you should see the ITUNES logo and the USB cable thing on screen, let it work. You should get the same error again.

** you might need Liberty software to kick the phone out of restore mode.

Which means the BL is NEWER then the firmware which is why you got that error.

Open up Ziphone and Downgrade the BL since your on 1.14

After that click DO IT ALL and what it takes five minutes for each process for up to 10min. You should see the screen scroll a bunch of stuff just sit and wait magic is hapening.

Viola your done.

Sorrybut im a little confused here. Its been a while since I have done this... So you suggested that I should download the latest iTunes then delete it including all files from hard drive? Whats the point of downloading when im just going to delete it? Then, I should download the 7.5 itunes an use that to restore? Thats the only part I got lost forgive me...

Sorry i didnt itterate more.

I was trying to have you download 7.7 and reupgrade to 2.02 then follow the procedures above to take it back to 1.14.

I had the same issues you did sorta, but because the person who had the Iphone accidently upgraded to 2.02 when she upgraded itunes so it locked her out again, not being able to use any carrier she wanetd. She gave me the phone and i went through those procedures to unlock.

Like after downloading 7.7 itll ask you to restore etc, go ahead and restore to the latest firmware. After that, un install and delete 7.7 and reinstall 7.5. If it asks you to reboot make sure to do so, cuz i ran through alot of errors doing that.

After reinstalling 7.5 i suggest you go get the base 1.14 file so you can restore when you plug in the phone make sure your in DFU mode. the screen is blank to confirm you are in that mode. Hold shift and hit restore on Itunes and a window will come up, browse to the 1.14 file and restore. after you will get a 10xx error, either 15 or 16 because your BL is newer then your firmware allows for.

Go ahead and click ok then get the phone out of DFU mode you can use that iLiberty software to kick it out of that mode if you cant do it manually. From there when you boot the iphone itll have an image of ITUNES with the cable thing running to it. Which is good, plug it into the comp again, and this time ITUNES should reconize but still ask you for a restore, do it again, as per the procedures above, remember to hold shift and browse to it, you might get the same error you might not it doesnt matter, after you remove the phone from the computer, you will notice the slide bar across the screen for emergency calls.

Slide it across and dial:

*3001#12345#*

And itll take you into test mode and click on Versions, your BL should 4.04.04 or something thereof.

Make sure to download the latest version of ziphone open that up, and click on advanced and downgrade the BL then after that is finished. click do it all.

It should unlock the phone and jailbreak as well.
