Over the last day or so I've noticed what has to be a bug on my Airpods Pro 2 while listening to Spotify. If I say "Hey Siri" to trigger her to listen then the music volume will drop while she's talking to me and once she's done the volume goes back to to normal and then the music stops immediately after. It doesn't seem to matter if I trigger her by saying "Hey Siri" or if I trigger her by squeezing the airpod stem, once she's done talking the music will pause and I have to manually restart it.

The other thing I've noticed is that I used to be able to toggle between the different noise control modes by speaking to her and saying "Siri, turn on transparency" or "Siri, turn on noise cancellation" while I was listening to the Airpods but now no matter what I say she will tell me that that mode is already activated and then stop the music.

I have an iPhone 13 pro max running iOS 18 and the Airpods are on firmware version 7A302. I've already tried forgetting Airpods from my device and re-pairing them as well as restarting my phone. Has anyone else encountered this issue or have any ideas on a fix?

I feel like I have the opposite issue.

Prior to watchOS 11, whenever there's voice feedback or when Siri is activated, any music or podcast that was laying through my AirPods Pro 2 would stop. This is the kind of behavior I expected. After all, what's the point of having music and podcast continue to play in the background when either the device is giving me feedback or I am providing the device some voice commands?

With watchOS 11, music or podcast will continue to play though at a lower volume while voice feedback is being played or while I am uttering a voice command. I don't like that music or podcast continues to play in this situation because I'm going to miss out on what the podcast/music has been playing.

Is there a setting I need to adjust?
