I've had a mac mini running on a RAID 0 array for about a year, it's a lil' screamer but it's gotten slower; I want to try and set TRIM up. Does anyone out there know the proper strategy for enabling trim on a RAID 0 boot setup?

Here's my specs:

OSX Yosemite 10.10.5

Mac mini (Late 2012)
2.5 GHz Intel Core i5
16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MB

2X Crucial_CT256M550SSD 256GB in RAID 0 Array
Queue Depth:32
Partition Map Type:GPT (GUID Partition Table)

I have found posts but they never address RAID 0, so wondering if Trim Enabler can now be used, or perhaps a terminal command.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

The TRIM Enabler dev says as long as you are using OS X software RAID0 TRIM will work. With the latest Yosemite update, you should not need to use TRIM enabler any longer and just running the trimforce command in Terminal should enable it for you.

I have not tested this myself in RAID0 so cannot confirm if it works.

Code:
sudo trimforce enable

Thanks so much for the reply. I ended up using Disk Sensei to turn trim on. Now under System Information it says that Trim has been enabled, although I saw on different forums that it might list this as being on but is in fact not enabled.

After a reboot my computer seems to be working fine, and I think it might be running faster... but maybe it's just a placebo effect :apple:

With the "sudo trimforce enable" in OS X 10.10.5, the Software RAID0 works perfect:

Internal bay RAID0:

External (USB 3.0 UASP) bay RAID0:

Hope this clarifies some setup and speed questions.

Cheers
