Triplicate messaging problem

Hello all!
I'm having a bit of trouble with continuity on iOS 9.

My friends have been telling me that they have been receiving my messages in triplicate. It just so happens that I have exactly 3 Apple devices all connected to iMessages. Could that be related?

Has anyone else experienced a similar problem?
Any troubleshooting would be appreciated.

When you send the message to these friends are they going through iMessage or SMS?

Sorry for the late reply. I think iMessage
I send a message, it tries to send as iMessage (blue) but I'm not on wifi or data so I send as text message. then i get to wifi, and it sends it again... AND THEN AGAIN.
