tripod for nikon d5000 that works best for swivelling lcd display

i have seen several forums, and everybody seems to have a problem regarding the full use of the swivel lcd display when the nikon d5000 is mounted on a tripod.
has anyone found a tripod (brand and model no) that works best?

You will need to find a tripod that doesn't have a large top, something similar to mini-tripods where there is just the pin on top.

Hit a camera shop and play around withe different ones they have.

I'm about to buy a "unsuported" batterygrip for my D5000...

I think that will solve the problem with my tripod, since it connect with the base of the camera.
