I stumbled upon an app/tweak, when applied remains even if you go back into Cydia and remove the application.

I recently changed themes and this single Cydia app's icon looked terrible. I removed it thinking I would then loose the benefit of it. Surprisingly, even though I now no longer have the app showing up on my iPhone, the app's purpose remains.

Can you name this tweak/app?

(I suppose there may be more than one!)

Respring your device. If it is uninstalled, it will leave.

Nope.
I've rebooted my iDevice and although Cydia still shows the app as not being on my iPhone5, the benefits are still there!

I am actually pleased by this development as I want what the app provides without the actual app on my springboard!

It's probably in the top ten (perhaps top five?) most downloaded apps in Cydia and has been around since the very beginning of jailbreaking (I remember using it on my iPhone 2G). Well, actually there was another tweak that did what this app does and it was first, but the popularity of this one kind of buried the other and now the first isn't really available on newer devices.

It's also free and is the cause of at least one thread, right here recently (and is currently on the first page).

Sorry about that.
Didn't mean too.

Ok, it's Bytafont.

I had it installed and when I switched themes I went into Cydia and deleted it as the icon stuck out like a sore thumb.

(I even went into iCleaner and used it as I do when I remove a Cydia package.)
The iPhone has since rebooted and this morning noticed the font I had been using is still on my iPhone.

This is true. The only way to get your stock font back is to reinstall Bytafont and go back to the stock font, then remove the package.

I'm OK with that.
I enjoy using the font that is currently set up.
(Thanks to the, "which font are you using" thread for some neat suggestions.)
