OS X Tropico 3 with Magic Mouse or Magic Trackpad?

I bought Tropico 3 a while back and played a little but I'm wanting to get back into it. I had a Magic Mouse back then but I can't remember if I used that or the trackpad to play with it.

Any suggestions one which would be best? I have a 20" ACD and want to play on the larger screen so I'm going to need something.

Mice are in general better for gaming, although it won't matter much for a city builder. You will probably find it easier to do left/right clicking with your mouse.

It won't be an issue with this game but if you want to play any sort of action games you should invest in a mouse with real buttons, as a magic mouse can't register left and right clicks at the same time.

Yeah, that's true about the buttons. I tried playing some games with the MM. It wasn't as easy to do as with a "regular" mouse but I thought once I'd get used to it it'll work better.

I'll look into some go mice for Mac and then decide. I'm going to Austin tomorrow and was thinking of swinging by the Apple store to pick one up.

I would avoid the Apple store...you'll pay top dollar and their selection isn't great. Logitech and Razr mice both have Mac drivers and you can buy them anywhere. I have a Razr Deathadder which I like a lot, and before that I had a Logitech MX 518 which was also great. The G400s is the latest version.

There's a long gaming mouse recommendation thread around here somewhere, if you search you should be able to find it.

Sorry, I just meant the Apple store for the MM or MT. I usually don't see them for anything lower than what Apple charges. I'll make sure I do get the best deal whatever I decide to go to.

Oh, sorry, I was under the impression you already owned them...yes, in that case. Amazon has the trackpad a few bucks cheaper, but it's basically the same.

Sorry, I had a MM. I was rarely using it and thought it'd be best to sell it than it sit around in a drawer for a year or two.

Ok, so I played a few games using the trackpad on my MBP. Pretty easy to navigate and get through it. I think I'll go ahead and get a MT. They're a lot nicer, at least for me, than using a mouse.
