Hi! This is my first posting to the forum ? ! Exited!
Issue is adding new folder to sidebar in iMac. Creating new folder, and in Finder drag it from desktop to sidebar. Should be that easy.
It works with new entry in sidebar, but the problem is that the folder I drag to sidebar, does not disappear after that, it is still residing on desktop.
How can I fix it so I also remove the folder from desktop when creating the new entry?

All the best
Georg

Items in the finder side bar are links. Nothing gets moved if you drag an item there.

Yes I understand. But I don't figure it out. Made two screenshots.

1. Created folder "Bilder til avis" in Finder and dragged it to sidebar. Then it looks like 1, that looks right for me.

Checked other folders. The 3 lower left is ok.

2. Finally opening folder "Screenshots". A copy of folder "Bilder til avis" was surprisingly found in that folder. Trying to delete it, but then it was marked with "Trash".

Hoping for a solution ?

Hi!
Looks better, got some help from Apple support as well. I had not got the right understanding . I create a new folder and drag it to sidepanel. Checking other folders, I found the original folder under "Documents". That is ok, I know the system now so I am quite happy :)

Thanks for your attention!
