Since i've updated to the 3.0 firmware, i'm having a lot of trouble just answering the calls i'm getting. 75% of the time, it will ring, i go to slide to answer, and i can't slide! No touch response at all. I end up missing the call, then everything works and i call right back. I've restored thinking it was a jailbreak issue, maybe something didn't go over correctly, but still happening. Any thoughts?

Does the bottom half of the screen respond during other times?

If it does it sounds like a software issue. I would restore the phone and make sure you set it up as a new phone.

So make sure you have the info backup up in the computer.

Then see if the issue has fixed itself.

If that does not work you may need to get the phone replaced form Apple.

My phone has done this twice since upgrading to OS 3.0: It will not slide, and will not answer.

Also, once the GI did't appear to respond (ie the gaphic didn't slide) but I answered the call but sliding my finger along the screen..

I've recieved about 100 calls since the upgrade.

mine did that today, it slid over, but didn't answer the phone. I'm pretty sure it was cause i had the headphone jack plugged into my car and it needed a device with a mic connected to let me answer it. dunno if that's the same problem, hope it helps

I restored mypjone and did not jailbreak it this time and I'm still having the same issue where it will not answer a call. I'm thinking it might be the 3.0 firmware. Does anyone know how to downgrade? Also I do not set up as a new phone because I have a good amount of data from apps saved on the phone, so I must restore from backup. My phone is out of warranty so it's notlike I cAn just go in and have apple look at it.
