hello,

I have a G4 Tower, and a 20 inch Apple Display. Looks great. I got the G4 from a graphic artist who had 2 displays connected so I just purchased a 19 inch Sony as my second toy. Looks great too (it's a VGA, the other is digital)

Anyway, the problem is, when I shutdown/restart, only one display will turn on, usually the Sony, and it will show an extended desktop (rather than mirroring. the only way to get them both up and running again is to disconnect the Sony, restart, then connect the Sony again once the G4 is running and displaying on the Apple display.

Any idea what I have to do to simply be able to start up the computer and see both displays running simultaneously??

Thanks

Gary

Have you looked at your Display Preference (System Preferences>Display)? Which monitor is considered the primary screen? Seems like the Sony might be.

What else have you tried to resolve this issue software wise? Cause it really should work pretty easily.
