I'm trying to update 12.2.1 to 12.3 on a 2019 iMac. I have attempted to download 12.3 from software update in preferences, the app store and the apple web site and get nonstop 'checking for updates' and never a connection to download it from all of these options.

I also didn't get an alert on the System Preferences icon that an update is available.

Any thoughts on how I can find a way to download 12.3?

maybe a stupid question, but it is better to be 100% sure: that is the full installer, 11.3gb. Can It be used to simply upgrading from 12.2.1 version?

You can, it would be the long way around, but you can. However, I would recommend updating via System Preferences > Software Update if you can, instead.

thanks. For a really strange reason, the download from Apple servers is very very slow from my location.
So basically I use the link of the full installer, which is coming from Apple servers as well, but using a download manager (jdownloader) I can set up 20 connetion for 1 single file, so the low speed is x20 times.
So basically for me is faster to download the 11gb full installer out of system update that let's say 4 gb from macos software update....
