This problem has me going insane, i'm also somewhat new to using macs so it could be me being an idiot. I am using a Macbook Pro running Windows XP SP2 in boot camp with 2 GBs of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce 9400M + 9600M GT with 256MB RAM

When I try to run Command and Conquer 3: Kane’s Wrath, I receive an error message that states “Please make sure you have DirectX 9.0 or higher installed. Also verify that your video card meets the minimum requirements, and that you do not have hardware acceleration disabled in the Display control panel.”

When I try to run Command and Conquer 3 instead of the Kane’s Wrath expansion, I receive an error message that states “Unable to authenticate original disc within time limit. Try again?”

I have Direct X 9.0 installed
I do not have hardware acceleration disabled

The only thing I can think of is that windows is not detecting my video card. I followed the boot camp installation instructions and had my OSX operating system disc install the drivers for windows. Is there something I'm missing?

If your OS X DVD is older than April 2008 (or so), you probably should download the Boot Camp 2.1 update from Apple and install those drivers. If you already have Boot Camp 2.1, check for an update to C&C or on their forums for ideas.
