I installed the latest version of limewire and now i have this "truck" folder. i don't know where to go from here...i can't get to the file sharing. i erased it the first time i tried and installed it again...now i'm at the same place with that truck application.

on a side note...i've heard that macs don't get viruses or spyware, so it's safe for us to use file sharing programs...is that correct for the most part? forgive me if this question has been asked many times before. i'm not too experienced with computers and i just got my first mac a week ago.

I don't know the first thing about limewire, but you're right about viruses and spyware. As of yet, there aren't any viruses or spyware that affect Macs without some kind of user initiation, i.e. you downloading a file and then opening it.

You could search these forums for threads with "Limewire" in the title to see if you find something relevant. For example, this thread might have something useful, but you might have to read a few to see which ones apply to your problem.

Keep in mind that you won't get any help here in the specifics of finding or downloading unlicensed copyright materials.

^^of course...guess i should have worded my question a little better.

when i erase what i have installed for the second time, will those programs still take up room on my computer?
