Hi guys,
Long time user, first time poster! Hopefully I have put this post in a useful place! My apologies if it is not.
I purchased and installed minecraft on my 13' MBP (late 2009) and it runs swimmingly in single player. My problem comes when I try and connect to any multiplayer servers or try to host my own!
I have followed several online video's and forums to forward a port and run my server. But whenever I enter an IP adress of a public server etc it says 'connecting' for several minutes and then finally connection timed out. And when I try and enter my own IP to enter to my own server it correctly starts the game with me in it - but 10 seconds later my whole Mac disconnects from the internet!
My next step is to install windows 7 via parallels (maybe XP, because I want to play older games) and try and run my server from their, but does anyone have any advice re this issue? It seems weird my whole connection would drop?
Cheers
