So when I get a group of notifications I know tapping on them takes me to the app. However can I view I notifications each individually w/o going directly to the app?

secondly how I respond to a text message straight from the notification screen?

When you tap on a group of notifications, they expand. It shouldn’t be launching any app until you choose a specific notification.

Interactive notifications you access by pressing and holding.

true it does expand. But let’s say I want to view the motivation on top In the old IOS they had an x button to click and I can view the new notification. There’s no x button I noticed now… so how to clear that notification and view the new one without going into that specific app?

Swipe the notification to the left and it will disappear.

Not that just cleared them all…

Really miss the old way. I should be able to hold down on the notification have one pop up and then delete it and see the next notification in the same group…

Can you post a screenshot or video of what the notifications do when you swipe them left?

Yes but this is a group of the notifications from the same app. How would I view the 2nd and then 3rd notification from that specific group?

So I click on the notification.
However I can not “x” or erase this notification to see the one beneath it. (I guess w/o going into the actual app which I don’t want to do, and sliding them erases them all)

I just tried it on a stack of multiple notifications from the same app and it worked as I expected. I tapped on the stack of notifications from the same app to expand them and then swiped left across the screen to clear each notification individually and it only cleared the individual notification from the stack, not all of the notifications from the stack at the same time.

What version of software are you on?
So explain how you did it?
you tapped or held it down?
When you read the notification you were able to swipe left while it was on your screen full-size ?

I am on iOS 15.0 on my new iPhone 13 Pro Max. I only tapped, never held down, on the stack of notifications from the same app to expand them. After they are expanded, I can see each notification individually and then swipe on each one fully to the left of the screen from the center to clear each one. It never opens the app when I do it this way. What are you doing that is different from what I am doing? I probably won't be able to test it again until tomorrow morning since that is when I have most of my stacked notifications showing on the lock screen. I will try to do some screenshots next time to show how it appears for me.

There’s a difference if I hold down it expands if I tap it opens the app…

I just tried long pressing on the individual notification after expanding the stack to show the full-size notification card. After you are done viewing the full-size notification you just need to click outside of that notification to shrink it back down so then you can swipe it left to clear that single notification. Doing it this way never opened the app for me as expected.

Yeah I’ll try that. I was thinking that still may clear them all… which is what happen. I just give up with it for now. I expanded the notification read it and minimized it again and when I swiped it makes me clear them all. Not sure if it’s a setting or what. Odd

No updates on clearing a single notification on the Lock Screen when there are multiples?

@Dodgeman did you ever find out how to preview multiple notifications from the same app? I am having the same issue since I upgraded to ios15 on iPhone 11. I can only view the top notification in the stack or otherwise I have to 'open' the app to see the other notifications.

I have the Facebook app (yeah, I know...) and most of the time I do not get Facebook notifications on my lock screen like I used to. I did have a friend request yesterday, but that was all the activity that showed up on my lock screen for the entire day.

I don't have Focus (Do not Disburb) on. And in Facebook settings I should be getting notifications on my lock screen. Can't figure out why I don't get notifications for them.

It seems to work OK on iMessage, Twitter, Weather, etc.

Nope still the same issue.
Odd because no one else seems to be having it.
