trouble with the dock

well somethings messed up.

I can't open any applications in the dock.

if I click on an icon, it will bounce about 20-30 times, with nothing loading.

the programs I have selected to open at login work fine.

but nothing else is responsive.

HELP!!!

Does the actual application file open if you double click it?

Try dragging the app off of the dock, it will disappear
Drag the app to the dock and a new icon appears

Now try the dock...

problem solved

for some reason

with my computer

resetting the PRAM fixes everything
