i know that when i insert a blank cd i can drag data into it to burn. i acidentally chose make audio cd and made it the default action! now i cant access my cd from the finder menu and it only opens to itunes.

can someone tell me how to resest it back to the defaul action where it asks me to name the disk and to either burn data or audio?

thanks!

What version of OS X?

I guess it doesn't matter, ultimately, you'll find this in the System Preferences under the "CDs & DVDs" prefpane.

what they said.
System preferences>CDs and DVDs

Be more careful! ;) OS X only has dialogue boxes for important reasons (Especially when something is done for the first time!)
Hope you get it sortes
