Troubles with firmware 2.2 – Unable to use iPhone - connections issues

I have recently experienced that my iPhone is not recognizing my sim card and as a resulting, only being able to do emergency calls and is unable to use my iPhone. Sometimes a restart resolves the problem.

Also I believe that the iPhone is dropping connections to my EDGE/G3 network during use. Several times have been waiting several minutes for Mail and Safari to start receiving mail and load pages without luck.

Furthermore YouTube is calming that there is no connection. Don’t know if this is related to the connections issues I’m having or it is isolated.

Now am I the only on having these problems???

turn phone off, take sim card out, put sim card back in, turn phone back on.

if that doesn't work, you might have to restore 2.2.

Thanks for the answer definitive! I have now tried what you suggested, without resolving the problem.

I have visited the official Apple forums and many people are having the same problems with 2.2 firmware as I have.

Haven’t had these kind of problems with my phone since I bought it.. ☹
