My MacBook Pro M1 screen was damaged, so I replaced it with a genuine screen from another MacBook Pro M1. Everything is fine except that the True Tone is gone. Is there a way to bring it back?

Apple has chip embedded in screens which disables some function when the screen is not directly installed by Apple, even if it is from another genuine Apple product. iPhone adopted this long time ago.

The only way to bring it back is to send your Mac to Apple and pay them (a substantial) service fee to get your screen replaced.

Thanks for the quick reply. I know that iPhone screen replacement can be programmed to have the True Tone enabled. Can I do the same here?

You can ask the ones who provide such service to see if they can do that
